hey, i do think that i owe this blog a post on ayam penyet, with tempting photos on this great indonesian cuisine. i have been so obsessed with ayam penyet (AP) since the time i was introduced to taste it by a friend of mine.
these days have been such a great time for me. cos i am on holiday and can wake up superb late. after i wake up, i just need to think about what to take for my lunch ^^ . what a perfect life, ahakz!
so, today is the 2 consecutive days of taking AP. and my marginal utility is still that high, as always. :P. before my ass could say NO to this crazy plan, off i went, all the way from my house to tesco cheng melaka to join my friend for AP lunch. back then, i promised myself to snap a photo and post it up here.
if you ever tried AP, you should know that the chilli is really damn spicy and will certainly excite your ass the next day you visit to the toilet. LOL
when the food arrived, we couldn't wait for more than a second to enjoy it. I only realized that I FORGOT TO TAKE THE A PHOTO OF THE AP when i almost finish it!!! so sorry :D next time i will try to remember ya! i promise.
then i went to the supermarket area and saw the Tesco's ice cream lollies. it is Magum ice cream ALIKE. Fyi, Magnum is my fav ice cream lollies (magnum- rm3.80 each stick of 90ml). this tesco's is priced at rm9.++ for 3 lollies (120ml each). the lollies are Made in France, using belgium choc, as it stated.. and due to my cheapskate-ness and poor-ness, i gave this magnum alike a try.
damn, it really taste awful. the ice cream texture is bad + the choc shell is thinly coated. the choc shell cracks and fall off from the icecream easily. but i finished up 2 lollies (255 calories each), & gave 1 to my friend earlier.. i finished it cos it will melt by the time i reach home. :P
i don't wish for a calories count but logically, i guess i consumed about 1500kcal for today's lunch alone. "THANK YOU TO THE TESCO'S ICE CREAM LOLLIES TO CONTRIBUTE CALORIES AND AT THE SAME TIME TASTES SO BAD!!!"
the pack of 3 lollies is priced at 2 pounds for 2 packs in UK, about rm10 for 6 lollies.
the 1 i bought here is rm9.++ for 3 lollies. i think it's clear on why i condemn on the icecream so much. it is expensive considering the quality and taste. above is the photo of the teso's............. packaging :D now, you should know why they always state that "photos are for illustrations only"
rate: Ayam Penyet-API (4.0/ 5) The chilli is sweet. which i think is not supposed to be
rate: Tesco belgium choc ice cream (2.5/5) expensive for its quality, taste bad
happy new year in advance!! :)
